Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has inaugurated Justice Opeyemi Oke as the Acting Chief Judge of the State, with a charge on her to discharge her duties with exemplary wisdom, and integrity.
Governor Ambode said the appointment of Justice Oke, as the acting Chief Judge of the State, was in line with judicial precedence and the long-aged tradition of succession, by seniority on the bench.
Justice Oke, who was appointed to the bench of the State High Court about twenty years ago, is taking over from Justice Olufunmilayo Atilade who retired yesterday, having attained the statutory retirement age of 65.
