Eighteen persons are confirmed to have died when four suicide bombers infiltrated Munagari community in Konduga LGA of Borno state.

The first of several explosions happened at a prayer ground, while the blasts occurred immediately after within the community.

29 people sustained several degrees of injury and were taken to the university of Maiduguri teaching hospital and the state specialist hospital.

The police since restored normalcy.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian troops successfully repelled an attack by boko haram insurgents in Sabon-Gari-Madagali, in Adamawa state.

It said several insurgents were killed in the firefight.

Commissioner for information in state, Ahmad Sajoh says the state government is in touch with the army for updates on the situation.

He said a delegation will visit the area to access damage done during the encounter and recommend how to rehabilitate victims .

Madagali has come under repeated attacks after Nigerian troops launched a clean-up of the sambisa forest.
