Gabriel Jesus looks nothing short of a revelation, since joining Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, often keeping all-time leading-goalscorer Sergio Aguero out of the side.

The 20-year-old striker has also vastly improved his national side, since Tite's appointment as Brazil manager in June 2016.

The side now make the final preparations, as they look to replicate 2002's World Cup victory - inspired by all-time great Ronaldo de Lima - when the tournament recommences, next year in Russia.

Brazil captain and veteran full-back Dani Alves, feels as though the emergence of the ex-Palmeiras man, will seriously boost the nation's efforts to achieve the highest honour in football, claiming he 'wasn't joking' when describing Jesus as 'the new Ronaldo.'

While speaking to Sky Sports, the 34-year-old continued, claiming: "They work in the same way. He [Jesus] will be one of the great players. He's already one of the best in the world.

"For all that he's done, all that he's achieved, there's no pressure. He's doing what he loves."

The manager reciprocated with Alves' assessment of the starlet, stating: "City should be very pleased with Palmeiras and the coaches there who formed a player,  who is already at such a good level..."

To the point he came here with a natural fluency. I already mentioned the mental capacity he has and his technical ability," adding that: "He didn't need much time to adapt, he was already showing a very good level."

We didn't see the very best of Jesus in Tuesday night's 0-0 stalemate with England, in a tactical stand-off, with very few chances for either side, but there's no doubting the young forward has an incredible future ahead of him, at both club and international level.
