As part of effort of creating conducive learning environment for postgraduate students,the Central Bank of Nigeria has donated hostel accomadation as centre of Excellence to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (ABU). Handing over the facility,the Deputy Govrrnor Corporate Services Central Bank of Nigeria,Alhaji Suleiman Barau,said the intervention was part of social corporate responsibility,of Central Bank of Nigeria,(CBN). According to him ,the projects was initiated in April 2009w now completed and handed over today in 2017 would no doubt build human capacity in the area of finance,economics ,account and other allied courses. He stated that ,the multi- Billion Naira intervention project donated includes, A360- seating capacity Auditorium, E-library ,lecture theatres,syndicate rooms. Others include ,accomadation for 164 students,kitchen and cafeteria ,laundry spaces and storage facility,among others. Barau emphasised that, the CBN is committed towards ensuring consistent economic growth of Nigeria that,the project was on friday has donated Hostel. He urged the management of the university, as well as the beneficiaries of the edifices to ensure proper utilisation of the facilities. Earlier in his remarkst,Prof,Ibrahim Garba Vice Chancellor Ahmadu Bello University,Zaria comended the CBN for the laudable intetvention projects . Garba who was represented by Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration,Prof.Kabiru Bala said the University is encouraged to be among the top world Class institutions that migrates its economic education into faculty structure of bussiness schools. He said,the University would continue to enjoy collaborations with foreign experts which facilitators would provides unparallaled experience and exposure in the country. The VC however, said the intervention project is a structure that matches any bussiness school in the world in terms of functionality and currency. He commended CBN for the giant project innitiated aimed at enhancing educational growth in the univrrsity.
