Top Nigerian music heavyweights, Davido, Wizkid and Tiwa Savage have the most nominations in the 2018 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival. All three artistes were also nominated for the Best African Act award alongside Sarkodie, Cassper Nyovest and Shatta Wale. The ceremony is set to take place on January 12 at the Eko Convention Centre of Eko Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos. Nigeria also has four artistes out of six vying for the Best New Act category. The award contenders are Maleek Berry, Mayorkun, Small Doctor & Dice Ailes and are joined by SA’s Nadia Nakai and Tanzania’s Aslay.
